Recently declassified NSA security posters (after a FOIA request) show retro slogans and images from the Cold War era. The posters appeared throughout the NSA's Fort Mead, Maryland campus to remind agents to keep a tight lip. NSA spokesperson Chris Augustine told that the posters were created in-house, and updated versions are still used in NSA buildings today. “In an agency like ours that deals with classified information on a regular basis, you always want to reinforce to the workforce that they always need to be thinking about security,” Augustine said. “Obviously, you won’t get away with some of the stuff today, but they were appropriate for the time."
