Glass is fragile, right? Wrong. It can be fragile, but it can also be incredibly strong. Enter , a curious drip-drop shape of glass that exhibits a strange and incredible strength. Under normal circumstances, like being slammed with a hammer, the unique physics of its shape let it escape unscathed. But what about a hydraulic press?

Of course eventually the hydraulic press wins out. It almost always does. But here's to that piece of glass, just taking it in stride. At least until it can't.
